By The Bog of Cats – Model Box Project

This was a design developed during training in The Lir’s MFA program.

Understanding Hector’s waiting and longing to see her mother walk back over the bog as well as understanding the materials of the vernacular architecture of the area inspired the design.

The forced perspective ceiling is made of rusted corrugated iron to represent effect of the farming community on the wildness of the bog.

This set was designed for The Abbey Theatre Dublin.
