As with all my projects while employed by Fuel it is important to note that without the collaboration of my fellow employees, the company directors, freelancers and indeed the client themselves, the end results would not have been possible. For this project we teamed up with the amazing Tihomar from Incognito Escape Rooms to create a 30minute experience for teams of up to six people inside the Meta Offices. I created a narrative around a whistleblowing scientist needing their help to get confidential information about the disappearances surrounding Hawkin’s Lab out to the authorities. Our games master took on this role and briefed participants in his office before they entered the lab. There they solves a number of mental and physical puzzles before revealing the secret portal to the upside down behind a spring-loaded mirror to grab the files and escape.
